Seasonal Saturday: Mother's Day Emergent Reader

Welcome to another Seasonal Saturday!

Today I feature Andrea from

Andrea and I have worked together several times within the last year, and I am excited to feature one of her literacy resources today!  Just a little about Andrea:  she is a reading specialist (like me!) with over sixteen years classroom experience. She has her Master's degree in Reading and is from one of my favorite states, Virginia!

Just in time for Mother's Day, Andrea's Someone Special Mother's Day Emergent Reader  makes a great activity for small groups, reading intervention, in a literacy center, or when working individually with a student.

Highlights of this Packet Includes:
  • (13) pages for grades kindergarten to grade two
  • Printable book and picture cards for book
  • I really appreciate that she titled this "someone special" and that students have an opportunity to name the person who is their "mother"Andrea is sensitive to the fact that not all children are living with their biological mothers.
  • Cute, cute graphics from one of our favorites, The 3AM Teacher
